It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Oldnall shares the news of his passing on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at the age of 70. He was a loving husband to Donna (nee Potts) for 45 years. He was a devoted father to Adele (Kris), Christine (Tyler), and Daniel (Jenna). John was also a proud Beepa to Arabella and Bishop. He leaves behind his dear siblings Linda (Gil), Jacquelyn (Dario), Blake and David (Marisa). He was predeceased by his father George and mother Rita Devine. He is survived by their spouses Donna Oldnall and Don Devine. John was a caring brother-in-law to Bob Goody (late Janice) and loved son-in-law to the late Ruth and Edmund Potts.

He was a fantastic father to his fur baby Lucy, along with Nico and Sandy who have passed away.

John enjoyed over 19 years of retirement from Chrysler. During this time, he and Donna traveled to more than 23 countries, with Spain and Japan being among their favorites. When they weren’t exploring new places, John liked relaxing in their backyard with Donna by the pool.

In his downtime, John loved listening to loud rock music, spending time at his desk appreciating his extensive collections, or reading works by Poe or anything else that piqued his interest. A passionate Toronto Maple Leafs fan, he always followed the games closely.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff, nurses, and doctors at Windsor Hospice, Ontario at Home, and Windsor Cancer Clinic for their care.

In memory of John, donations can be made to Windsor-Essex Hospice or Windsor Cancer Center Foundation.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd E) on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and again from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. In accordance with John’s wishes, there will be a private funeral service.

Online condolences and fond memories can be shared at Windsorchapel. com
