If you’ve been considering running in this fall’s municipal election but haven’t submitted your nomination papers yet, the clock is ticking.
Candidates participating in the October 26 vote have until 2 p. m. on Friday to submit their papers to run in Windsor or any municipality within Essex County.
The papers must be filed by either the candidate themselves or an agent.
Additionally, candidates need to be at least 18 years old, a resident of the municipality they wish to represent, a Canadian citizen, and not disqualified from holding municipal office.
Residents should expect to receive their voter registration card by early October.
Details about polling will be announced as Election Day approaches.
