Hamilton Police are looking into a shooting that occurred after several shots were fired at a home on Greendale Drive.
On Friday, August 21, 2026, around 10:45 p. m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of Greendale Drive.
When they arrived, police found numerous shell casings and multiple bullet impacts on a house. Some bullets went through the home while people were present inside. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
Investigators have obtained video footage showing two cars speeding away from the scene shortly after the incident.
The Hamilton Police continue to patrol the area as officers gather witness statements and review more surveillance footage while processing the crime scene. Residents can expect to see an ongoing police presence as the investigation proceeds.
The Shooting Response Team is now leading this investigation and is working to uncover what led to the shooting.
This is now the 19th shooting recorded in Hamilton in 2026.
Authorities are urging anyone who was nearby at that time and may have noticed anything unusual to step forward. They also ask residents to check their security cameras, doorbell cameras, or dash-cam footage from around when the shooting took place.
