Eligibility for the CDCP is set by the federal government based on criteria like household income and whether families have private dental insurance. Families can check their eligibility through the federal program before reaching out to the clinic. Smiles on Yonge offers direct billing for CDCP participants so they don’t need to handle claims themselves.
The newly added appointment slots include children’s checkups and cleanings, orthodontic consultations and adjustments for those with braces or aligners, as well as custom-fitted sports mouthguards that can be scheduled during a checkup if requested.
“Families in Richmond Hill have been asking whether this clinic participates in the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and as of now it does,” said Dr. Leila Raziee, Pediatric Dentist at Smiles on Yonge Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry. “The after-school and PA day blocks were added for the same reason-because families tend to book during the start of the school year.”
Appointment requests can be made by calling 905-597-6453 or visiting smilesonyonge. ca.
