A crash involving four vehicles on the eastbound side of Highway 401 in Southwold, Ont., caused significant delays for over two hours on Thursday evening.
Emergency services arrived at the scene just east of Union Road around 6 p. m. Authorities shut down the lanes at Union Road so that police could investigate and check for any injuries.
Many motorists were left stuck behind the accident and had to stay on the highway until crews removed the vehicles and debris.

The lanes reopened at approximately 8:22 p. m.
Police have not reported whether anyone was injured, what led to the crash, or if there will be any charges filed.
