Andrew Phillip Arnoldt, age 47, from Janesville, Minnesota, passed away on April 24, 2026, after bravely battling cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his friends and family.

Andy was born on May 27, 1978, in Mankato, Minnesota. He was the son of Frederick and Diane (Murphy) Arnoldt. Andy grew up in Janesville and attended Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School.

After finishing school, Andy worked at Trahms Farms. In 2001, he married Sarah Grams at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, MN. Together they built their life in Janesville- a place they proudly called home. Over the years, he dedicated himself to various ventures including Arnoldt Construction, Arnoldt Power Washing and Repair, Arnoldt’s Good Spirits, Camp Lake St. Joseph in Northwest Ontario, Arnoldt Truck Wash, Arnoldt’s Laundry Station, and several rental properties. He always had a project going or was dreaming up something new.

As a devoted husband and provider for his family, he truly valued his relationships with friends and family alike. Andy had a unique personality filled with stories that people would never forget. He could fix just about anything and was always there to lend a hand when someone needed it.

He served as Mayor of Janesville and contributed his time to various groups such as St. Ann’s Cemetery Board, the Janesville Hay Daze Committee, the EDA Board, the Janesville Utility Board; he also served on St. Ann’s Finance Committee and participated in the Janesville Beautification Group. A lifelong member of St. Ann’s Parish in Janesville, Minnesota; he cared deeply about his community.

Andy found joy in fishing trips at his camp in Northwest Ontario and loved keeping everyone entertained with his antics or well-timed jokes. Local sporting events and card games were also highlights for him. His dogs brought him happiness as well; he treasured moments spent with family and friends.

He is survived by those who loved him: his wife of 25 years Sarah Arnoldt from Janesville; their children Taylor Grams from Waseca and Tuckor Anderson from Aberdeen, South Dakota; plus kids who were like family to him-Lester Bronstad, Zabrina Bronstad , and Marianne Tapia-who will always hold onto memories of him.

Also surviving are his sisters Kim Arnoldt (Sherri Jenson) from Waseca; Kelly (Keith) Eustice from Janesville; Katie (Tom) Nicolai from St. Clair; Terri Arnoldt from New Ulm; along with father- and mother-in-law Charles and June Grams from Madison Lake; sister-in-law Katie Morsching (Rob Malecha) from Janesville; brother-in-law Andy (Nicole) Grams from Madison Lake; plus many nieces and nephews: Tj , Tyler , Travis , Ryan , Sam , Joe , Abby , Danny , Phil , Jane , Ben , Josh , Becca , Macy , Ellie , Preston , Parker , and Chloe.

He joins those who passed before him: parents Fred and Diane Arnoldt ; grandparents Phil and Eileen Arnoldt ; grandmother Esther Murphy ; brother Tim Arnoldt – all meeting him peacefully now.

Andy will be remembered for his humor, caring nature, hustle, and how he’d light up any room. Though his time here felt too short, did leave behind a lasting impact filled with love, laughter, and strong principles that will continue through those who knew him.

A visitation will take place at Farm America on Wednesday April 29th between 3-7 p. m., followed by a funeral service on Thursday April 30th at 11:00a. m. at Farm America-with burial afterwards at Janesville Cemetery.

If you’d like to honor Andy’s memory, making donations can be directed toward Mayo Clinic Cancer Research.
