Karen passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, at age 70.
She was predeceased by her husband, Luther Keymel, and her father, Robert Dittberner. Karen is survived by her children, Adam (Allison) Keymel; Sarah (Tim) Roden; and John (Gabriella) Keymel; grandchildren: Abigail, Aiden, Annabelle, Nathan, Michelina, and Torianna; mother, Eloise Dittberner; brother, Larry (Bridget) Dittberner; aunt, Marilyn Dzielak; uncle, Earl (Carol) Dittberner; nieces and nephew, Meghan Dittberner, David (Ashley) Keymel, and Carrie Keymel; brother-in-law, Paul Keymel; sister-in-law, Cheryl Keymel; and her cousins.
Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter who held her family close to her heart. She spent many years in the nursing field where she cared for others with kindness and dedication. Additionally, she volunteered at the Ontario ambulance base to support the local community. Karen was also an active member of her church whose involvement made a difference in many lives.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, August 21 from 4-6 PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels located at 1961 Ridge Road in Ontario, New York 14519. On Saturday August 22nd at 10:00 AM there will be a funeral service at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 131 West Main Street in Webster New York 14580. Burial will take place afterward at Furnaceville Cemetery.
