As the 2026 municipal election nears, Ottawa’s mayoral candidates will engage in a debate centered around housing, development, and the city’s future growth.
The Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA) and the Ottawa Real Estate Board are co-hosting this moderated debate on September 24 at the Saint Elias Banquet Centre.
Registered candidates Alexander Lawson, Jeff Leiper, Neil Saravanamuttoo, and current Mayor Mark Sutcliffe are set to take part.
This event allows candidates to share their views on issues impacting Ottawa’s housing supply and development scene, while also giving industry leaders and community members a chance to hear directly from them.
The debate is planned for 7:30 to 9:30 a. m. and will follow a structured format addressing key municipal topics and Ottawa’s ongoing growth.
Organizers noted that the event is already 80 percent sold out.
Tickets can be refunded up to seven days before the event. After that date, they can only be transferred. Click here to register.
GOHBA members without an account who wish to register online should reach out to Christina Pliatsika at ch*******@***ba. ca for login access.
