Peterborough started the tournament strong with an 8-1 win against the Akwesasne Storm, but then faced a setback, losing 8-4 to the Midland Titans. However, they bounced back with five consecutive wins.
The team’s journey to the championship included a solid 5-0 victory over the Guelph Regals, followed by a 7-4 win against the Lincoln Redcoats and another 7-4 triumph over the St. Catharines Athletics. In a rematch, they took down Midland, winning decisively at 7-3.
In the final match, the Lakers secured their gold medals with a convincing 9-3 victory over the Burlington Blaze, claiming the U15 C Provincial Championship title.
The championship team featured players Chelsea Mose, Morgan Ayotte, Hayley Fair, Eliza Vivian, Charlee Young, Lilah Brooks, Madeline Gifford, Ellie Brown, Mikaela Ferren, Emersyn (Emme) O’Grady, Isla Bell, Monroe Mc Kinley, Aliyah Garbutt, Jillian Tucker, Mia Clark, Aliyah Francis-O’Brien, Delila Maynard and Taylor Evans.
The coaching staff was led by head coach Geoff Mc Kinley along with assistant coaches Niall Maynard and Chris Vivian and trainer Tori Sage.
