Kaye Reyn, age 91, passed away quietly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, after a brief stay at the Pines of Peace in Ontario.
A private service and burial will take place at a time that works for the family. She will be laid to rest in Huron Evergreen Cemetery next to her husband of 72 years, Christian, who died on January 18, 2026.
Kaye was born on July 28, 1935, in Hannibal, NY. She was the daughter of Harold and Clara P. (Poormon) Yarrow. After finishing high school, she worked as a secretary at Sealright Company in Fulton, NY. She later took classes at Auburn Community College and continued her career until retirement as the secretary to the principal at Florentine Hendrick Elementary School in Wolcott. In retirement, Kaye enjoyed her favorite activities like tending to her flower gardens, decorating her lovely home, going antique hunting with Chris, crafting items she loved to create, cooking tasty meals for family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also served part-time as the secretary for the Wolcott Methodist Church.
Kaye held a special place in many hearts as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married her loving husband Christian Reyn Jr. on June 12, 1954.
<p She is survived by her daughters Robin (Chris) Scholla and Christine (Jeffrey) Stuck; son Richard (Beverly) Reyn; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; her fur baby Sofie; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kaye is predeceased by her husband along with three sisters and one brother.
The family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Pines of Peace located at 2378 Ridge Road Ontario New York 14519.
The family will host a celebration of life for both Christian and Kaye on August 16th from 3-5 PM at Dick and Bev Reyn’s home (10763 Lummisville Rd., Wolcott NY 14590).
