Bruce Power, along with its employees and suppliers, is ready to match up to $100,000 in donations aimed at supporting wildfire relief efforts in northern Ontario.
A statement from Bruce Power indicates that “with wildfires forcing evacuations and disrupting lives across Northern Ontario and other parts of Canada, Bruce Power and its supplier partners are pledging up to $50,000 to True North Aid, which provides humanitarian support to northern and remote Indigenous communities, and up to $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for wildfire relief efforts.”
By committing to match donations up to $100,000, Bruce Power encourages everyone to contribute through brucepower. com/Northern Ontario Strong.
Your donations will aid immediate relief as well as long-term recovery efforts. They may help evacuees, assist affected communities, and provide essential support during the rebuilding process.
“We’ve all seen the images on the news of the loss many communities are suffering and the effects it’s having on the people who live in Northern Ontario and across Canada,” said James Scongack, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President, Bruce Power. “We’re joining with our supplier partners and employees to raise money to help and we invite you to donate to this worthy cause if you’re able to do so.”
