A man is facing charges of aggravated assault following a double stabbing that occurred in Oakville over the weekend.
According to Halton Regional Police, two individuals were discovered with serious stab wounds inside a residence located near Lakeshore Road West and Great Lakes Boulevard at around 10 a. m. on Sunday, March 29.
The victims were transported to the hospital and are currently in serious but stable condition, police stated.
Authorities have not disclosed any details regarding the age or gender of the two individuals involved.
A 54-year-old man from Oakville was apprehended at the scene and is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
To safeguard the victims’ identities, police have indicated that they will not be naming the accused. They also confirmed that there are no additional suspects being sought at this time.
