William Gunn, a loving husband, father, son, brother-in-law, and friend, left us unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the age of 33.

He was born in Orillia, Ontario on March 2, 1993 and was the adored son of Debra and Brian.

William was a dedicated husband to Samantha and a proud father to Mattiayh, Tevyn, Meiika, Kyuss, Kourtlynd, and Layker. His family meant everything to him; there was nothing he cherished more than being their husband and dad.

With a sharp intellect and an impressive storehouse of knowledge, William had an answer for nearly everything. Whether it was practical or quirky information he loved sharing what he knew and was always eager to learn more. He enjoyed music-playing guitar-sports like football and disc golf, gaming, movies, UFC fights and loved cooking for his family using his smoker while tossing a ball with his kids.

William’s sense of humor could brighten any gathering. He had a knack for making others laugh even in tough times. He found the good in everyone around him, looked past their imperfections and cared deeply for those in his life. His warmth and intelligence made a lasting impact on all who were lucky enough to know him.

Above all else, William will be remembered for the love he shared so generously. His larger-than-life personality created memories that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.

He leaves behind his devoted wife Samantha; six children Mattiayh, Tevyn, Meiika, Kyuss, Kourtlynd and Layker; parents Debra and Brian; in-laws Ave and Jaymz; best friend Shakr along with many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

The void left by William’s passing is already profoundly felt. His wife longs for his smile, laughter, intelligence-his touch-and the comfort of having him by her side. His children miss their daddy’s voice-their hugs-his jokes-and the daily love he showered upon them. He truly was an amazing dad.

While their hearts are shattered they’ll carry his love with them forever. Although his time here was far too brief the joy laughter-and memories he leaves behind will last endlessly.

Family members and friends are invited to gather at Legacy Funeral Home located at 55 Cedar Pointe Drive Barrie (Parking entrance is on Hwy 400 side) on Wednesday June 10th from 1 p. m.-2:45 p. m. A service will follow at 3 o’clock p. m.

In lieu of flowers we encourage donations to the Go Fund Me set up to support Samantha along with William’s six children as they face this unimaginable loss. If you would like to help you can contribute at: https://gofund. me/7c96afbe4

The family sincerely appreciates every kind gesture support or donation given during this difficult time.

Please note that visitation along with funeral services are intended only for adult attendees.
