A 54-year-old man is currently hospitalized with serious injuries that could change his life after being hit by an SUV at a bus stop on Thursday in Hamilton.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p. m. at the intersection of King Street West and Dundurn Street North.
According to Hamilton police, the woman driving a Ford Edge was exiting the parking lot of the Tim Hortons plaza when she lost control and struck the man who was waiting in the bus shelter.
The man was quickly taken to the hospital with severe injuries, while the driver did not sustain any harm.
No charges have been filed at this point.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit of Hamilton police is now looking into the matter.
“All investigative avenues are being considered at this time,” officers write in a press release.
