The eastbound express lanes on Highway 401 are completely shut down during Friday’s commute following a multi-vehicle collision that occurred around 9 a. m. and resulted in one fatality.

Ontario Provincial Police reported they were summoned to the scene of the crash on Highway 401 close to Winston Churchill Boulevard in Mississauga.

Emergency responders arrived promptly to evaluate the injuries resulting from the multi-vehicle incident. While collector lanes remained accessible, express lanes were closed for eastbound traffic.
