The grand opening with a red ribbon is just weeks away, but the $50 million renovation for Cascades Casino at Western Fair District is mostly complete. This project took 27 months and added 14,000 sq. ft. to the old slots venue. <p Inside there are now 18 gaming tables and nearly 900 slot machines, plus the team has grown by adding 80 new employees to the existing staff of over 300. In addition to gaming options, visitors can enjoy two restaurants, an outdoor patio area, and several bars. Cascades Casino contributes part of its gaming revenue to the city and is one of several entertainment venues located in the eastern part of Old East Village.
