The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is asking for help from the public as they investigate a shooting in Oakville.

This morning, around 7:35, officers went to a home near Prince Michael Drive and Taylorwood Drive after receiving reports of gunfire.

The investigation revealed that multiple shots were fired into the house. Although there were people inside during the incident, thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Authorities believe this was a targeted attack and confirm that there is no threat to public safety.

A dark-colored SUV was spotted nearby when the shooting occurred. Investigators are urging anyone with information about this case or those who might have security or dash cam footage from Prince Michael Drive and Taylorwood Drive between 7:00 a. m. and 7:45 a. m. to reach out to the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.
