Last night, there were sightings of a possible waterspout near Port Elgin as Environment Canada issued a tornado warning.

The potential waterspout was shared by Instant Weather Ontario on social media platform X, with an update at 7:12 p. m., stating that the storm over Lake Huron was creating a potential waterspout and it was moving toward the shore.

No reports of any damage have come in yet.

 

7:12 PM – Saturday, June 22, 2024

Port Elgin residents should find shelter. A potential waterspout is being produced by this storm over Lake Huron and is heading onshore.

Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning.
