A dedicated lottery player from Whitby, Ontario is celebrating after snagging a $1 million Lotto 6/49 prize during the Gold Ball Draw.

– –

Charlyn G., a 52-year-old police officer, scored the win in the April 29, 2026 draw. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation revealed her victory on June 16 after she visited the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim her prize.

Charlyn bought her ticket through OLG. ca and found out about her win when she received an email saying that she had won. At first, she didn’t know how much she had won and logged into the OLG app to check.

Upon seeing the $1 million amount, she excitedly shared the news with her husband. Charlyn mentioned that this win has given them both more financial freedom and new chances to think about their future.

– –

She plans to use some of the winnings to pay off bills and invest. Charlyn is also thinking about getting a new car, taking a vacation, and eventually retiring with her husband.

The Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball Draw guarantees that one winning selection will receive either $1 million or the growing Gold Ball jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased online through OLG. ca.
