Windsor police will quickly have a weapon of their battle in opposition to bail scofflaws.
The Ontario authorities introduced on Wednesday the launch of the Provincial Bail Compliance Dashboard, which is designed to assist regulation enforcement companies throughout the province monitor and share details about people who find themselves on bail on firearm-related counts.
Windsor Police Superintendent Paolo DiCarlo stated the service is nearly prepared to start use of the system.
“We’re within the place to work with the Ministry [of the Solicitor General] and we’ll be able to roll out the bail compliance as quickly because it’s able to go,” stated DiCarlo. “So by the top of [quarter] one, we’ll be rolling absolutely with the dashboard.”
The dashboard is being managed by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and is on the market to all municipal and First Nation regulation enforcement companies who want to take part.
DiCarlo stated Windsor officers will quickly have key info at their disposal.
