Two suspects have been arrested and over $45,000 in money and medicines seized following an investigation by the Windsor Police Service (WPS).
Officers searched a residence within the 500 block of Pelissier Road Thursday afternoon.
There they arrested a 37-year-old feminine on suspicion of trafficking. Officers additionally arrested a 42-year-old male for violating his bail.
The search of the residence yielded 429 grams of cocaine, 0.3 grams of crack cocaine, 12 tablets of 5mg oxycodone, and three tablets of 40mg oxycodone. The overall worth of medication seized within the operation was $43,090.
Moreover, police seized $5,090 money, two cellphones, a digital scale, and 87 Crown Royal bottles, which police say have been reported stolen out of Tecumseh.
The girl has been charged with:
Possession of a schedule I substance for the aim of trafficking, specifically cocaine
Possession of a schedule I substance for the aim of trafficking, specifically oxycodone
Possession of a schedule I substance, specifically crack cocaine
Possession of property obtained by crime below $5,000
Failure to adjust to a launch order
“We executed this warrant in the heart of downtown, near the 920 Ouellette apartment complex and Glengarry neighbourhood,” stated Windsor Police Inspector Dave DeLuca, who oversees the DIGS Unit. “Our officers and community partners are working together on dedicated initiatives to serve these downtown areas, and I am pleased to see these dangerous drugs taken off our streets.”
