The Windsor Police Service is investigating a suspicious demise in south-central Windsor.


Simply earlier than 7:30 a.m. on Friday, police have been known as to a house within the 2400 block of Highland Avenue for a “bother unknown” report.


Upon arrival, a 69-year-old man was discovered lifeless inside the house.


Based on a social media put up, members of the Main Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are enroute. They may stay on scene “for some time”.


Elevated police presence is predicted as police canvas the world and ask witnesses for info.


The general public is requested to keep away from the world.


“It is stunning to listen to, it is heartbreaking and scary,” stated Joseph Gough, a close-by resident. “It is a very tousled world, it places me on edge. I am positively gonna be wanting over my shoulders.”


A neighbour, who lives throughout the road from the place the incident occurred, stated she has seen police vehicles and ambulances on the house earlier than.


“It is an uncomfortable feeling when cops and ambulances are going round your avenue,” stated Melanie Trevail.


Residents are requested to examine their dashcam footage or surveillance footage between 5:30 a.m. and seven:30 a.m. on Friday for potential proof within the case.
