Winter is sticking around this week, as the area is expected to receive up to 20 more centimetres of snow on Wednesday.

Environment Canada has put out a yellow snowfall warning for most of Bruce, Grey, Huron, Perth and Wellington Counties. This latest weather notice follows a blizzard warning from Monday and snow squall warnings on Tuesday.

The national weather service reports that an Alberta clipper will move into the region, bringing snow starting mid-week. Significant snowfall is anticipated, with totals between 15 and 20 cm possible from Wednesday morning through the night.

Wind gusts reaching near 50 km/h might also create blowing snow, particularly in areas more exposed to the wind.

Travel conditions are expected to be tough, and West Region OPP are advising drivers to exercise caution if they need to head out on the roads.
