A great December has brought some attention to Chatham Maroons forward Alexander Lisi.
He’s been recognized as the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL) Rookie of the Month.
Lisi scored points in four out of the Maroons’ six games during December, including three points in Chatham’s 5-4 victory over La Salle on the 14th, where he also netted the game-winner in overtime.
The 16-year-old achieved a personal best with five points in the Maroons’ 8-4 win against Waterloo on the 19th and clinched the shootout winner in Chatham’s 2-1 success over Waterloo on the 21st.
Lisi made his Ontario Hockey League (OHL) debut on Saturday, January 3, after being called up to Owen Sound due to an emergency. He was selected as a seventh-round pick (#128 overall) by the Attack in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection Draft.
He is set to play in the 2026 GOHL Top Prospects Game on January 13 as part of OHL’s Connor Mc David Top Prospects event taking place in Peterborough.
