Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers have stopped more drugs from reaching the streets.

On February 4, a commercial truck entering Canada at the Blue Water Bridge (BWB) was directed for a secondary inspection.

During the trailer inspection by border services officers and a detector dog, they reportedly found 16 duffle bags filled with suspected methamphetamine, weighing in at 266.4 kilograms.

Kulbir Singh, 29, from Woodstock, Ontario, was arrested and taken into custody by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

He’s facing charges for importation and possession with intent to traffic under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The accused is set to appear in court in Sarnia.

The CBSA stated that these charges still need to be confirmed by the court and that the investigation is ongoing.

Since January 1, 2025, CBSA officers in southern Ontario have seized a total of 616.5 kg of methamphetamine coming from the United States.
