Windsor Police are investigating a weekend arson at a home in Amherstburg. It’s the third time in 16 months that the property has been the goal of an intentional hearth.
The hearth broke out simply after 5:00am on January 18th on the vacant home within the 200 block of Cowan Courtroom. The hearth brought on an estimated $750,000 in damages to the constructing and a neighbouring property.
This incident follows two earlier arsons involving the identical home. In September 2023, a deliberate hearth brought on almost $4 million in damages to the house and a second property. An intentional blaze the next September resulted in an estimated $1.6 million in damages.

Investigators consider {that a} black luxurious SUV, which was noticed within the space across the time of the arson, could also be linked to the incident.
Investigators urge close by residents to overview any surveillance or dashcam footage taken between 3:00am and 5:00am for potential proof.
