Whitby, Ontario – Autocrypt, a worldwide chief in good mobility cybersecurity options headquartered in South Korea has chosen the City of Whitby, in Durham Area, as the placement for its latest Canadian workplace.

Toronto World and Make investments Durham — in collaboration with 1855 Accelerator and the City of Whitby — helped to convey this funding to the area.

“1855, Toronto Global and Invest Durham provided a very welcoming approach by expediting partnership access, ecosystem capabilities, business introductions and provided a friendly, sincere and committed experience,” stated Sean Hyun Jun Cho, Chief Govt Officer of Autocrypt North America Ltd.

“We are thrilled to welcome Autocrypt to the Toronto Region,” stated Stephen Lund, CEO of Toronto World. “Our partnership with Invest Durham and the Town of Whitby are invaluable, and the 1855 Accelerator has evolved to become a best-in-class service to our international clients, ensuring a smooth transition into the regional economy.”

“Durham Region is proud to be selected for Autocrypt’s primary Canadian office,” stated Simon Gill, Director, Financial Growth and Tourism, Make investments Durham. “Durham Region is leading the way in advanced mobility: in Autonomous, Connected, and Electric technologies, and our region is one of the premiere geographies of innovation and economic impact in North America. We’re confident that Autocrypt is joining an innovation community that continues to solve the world’s biggest challenges.”

“We are excited to have Autocrypt choose Whitby to grow its business,” stated Whitby Mayor Don Mitchell. “The investment by the Town into 1855 demonstrates our commitment to grow innovation and technology in our downtown. Autocrypt’s selection of Whitby also highlights the fact that our community is committed to smart mobility and autonomous vehicle readiness.”

Durham Area’s built-in transportation community, deep vitality and automotive clusters, and proficient know-how and engineering workforce — fuelled by Durham Faculty and Ontario Tech College — have been components that influenced the corporate’s selection to determine a regional workplace in Whitby.

“Durham Region is Canada’s clean tech capital and is quickly becoming the first choice for smart mobility, EV manufacturers, and clean energy innovators. Autocrypt is yet another global leader who sees the competitive advantage of joining our world class ecosystem,” stated Dennis Croft, Chief Govt Officer of 1855 Accelerator. “We look forward to supporting the North American growth of Autocrypt and helping its team establish long-term roots here in Whitby.”

Listed on Forbes Asia 100 To Watch and named “Automotive Cybersecurity Company of the Year” for the second yr in a row in 2021 by AutoTech Breakthrough Awards, Autocrypt has emerged as a world chief in cybersecurity for good mobility. Autocrypt is the one automotive cybersecurity supplier on the planet that provides an entire safety package deal for all the mobility ecosystem.
