The Registered Nurses’ Affiliation of Ontario (RNAO) has a brand new president and he or she is from Whitby.
At their annual basic assembly Lhamo Dolkar was chosen as president.
Dokar is a nurse practitioner (NP) and the affiliation’s first NP president.
“I am honoured to undertake the once-in-a-lifetime responsibility to represent RNAO’s strong, influential voice of RNs, NPs and nursing students,” says Dolkar. “I look forward to working collaboratively with RNAO’s membership and my colleagues on the board of directors to continue amplifying nurses’ voices and mobilizing change as we approach the association’s 100th anniversary.”
