Durham Regional Police say a Whitby couple have been charged after a number of House Depot shops within the area had been allegedly defrauded.
Police stated since July 2023, the couple had focused House Depot shops in Ajax, Pickering, Whitby and Clarington on a minimum of seven totally different events.

Investigators allege the couple would make a purchase order then return to the shop with the receipt and stroll out with related stolen gadgets.

“They would also switch price tags on items and defraud the store,” police allege.
A 53-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman are dealing with 28 charges together with theft, fraud, and possession of property obtained by crime.
