Durham police are looking for two individuals accused of distracting a senior and stealing their pockets at a grocery retailer in Whitby final week.
The incident occurred at a FreshCo within the space of Brock Avenue South and Dunlop Avenue East on the afternoon of Jan. 7.
Police mentioned the sufferer was leaving the shop when a person walked as much as her.
“As he approached the victim, he dropped a case of soda and while the elderly victim was assisting him with picking up the soda, a female suspect went into the victim’s purse and stole her wallet,” police allege.
The suspects fled in a white Hyundai Santa Fe with out a licence plate, police mentioned. The pair then allegedly used the sufferer’s card to make purchases.

On Tuesday, police launched a photograph of the suspects. One is described as a male between 30 and 40 years previous with a heavy construct and darkish facial hair and was carrying a protracted black jacket and white trainers.
The opposite suspect is a lady between 30 and 40 years previous with a heavy construct. She was final seen carrying a protracted black jacket and gray scarf.
