Ontario’s police watchdog has charged a Toronto police officer in relation to a collision in Whitby, Ont., final 12 months.
The Particular Investigations Unit says on the evening of June 25, 2024, Toronto cops have been looking for a person in Whitby.
The watchdog says the person was positioned whereas using on a scooter which was struck by an unmarked Toronto Police Service automobile in a Canadian Tire parking zone.
They are saying an 18-year-old man was significantly injured and brought to the hospital after being struck.
Because of the SIU investigation, Det. Const. Joshua Baksh is going through one rely of harmful driving and one rely of assault with a weapon.
