The province’s Particular Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the loss of life of a lady who fell from a balcony at a Whitby residence on Wednesday morning.
In a launch, the SIU stated Durham Regional Cops arrested a person who was a part of a police investigation on Wednesday morning within the Dryden Boulevard and Thickson Highway space.
Officers then attended an residence constructing on Waller Avenue that was believed to be linked to the person they simply arrested. Police didn’t reveal what the person was arrested for.
“While officers were in the unit, they came to learn that a woman had fallen from the unit’s balcony,” an SIU launch states.
“First aid was performed on the woman. However, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
