Ontario’s police watchdog has charged a Toronto police officer in relation to a collision in Whitby, Ont., final yr.
The Particular Investigations Unit says on the evening of June 25, 2024, Toronto cops have been looking for a person in Whitby.
The watchdog says the person was positioned whereas using on a scooter which was struck by an unmarked Toronto Police Service car in a Canadian Tire car parking zone.
They are saying an 18-year-old man was critically injured and brought to the hospital after being struck.
