Police are interesting for witnesses after a porch fireplace deemed arson in Whitby early Tuesday morning.
Police responded to an arson name at Rivers Edge Place and Fairmount Drive at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday. Officers arrived on scene and located an lively fireplace on the entrance porch of a residence. Police used a fireplace extinguisher to place out the fireplace and found a small container full of an ignitable fluid on the porch. A window of the residence was additionally damaged.
There have been no accidents reported.
Police are asking for any witnesses or these with video footage, together with sprint cam or house surveillance, to contact investigators.
