A pedestrian is in hospital with critical accidents after a driver struck them with their pickup truck earlier than careening right into a residential fence and ending up in a yard swimming pool.

Police say it occurred simply earlier than 1 p.m. close to Rossland Street East and Fencerow Drive in Whitby.
