Durham police have stated that there’s no danger to public safety following the discovery of two deceased individuals in a residence in Whitby. Additionally, two others were transported to the hospital.

Authorities responded to reports of a sudden death near Fallingbrook Street and Taunton Road East.

Upon arrival, officers found that a 62-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man had already been pronounced dead. The details regarding the ages and genders of the other two individuals taken to the hospital are not available at this time.

The Whitby Fire Services also arrived on scene to check for any environmental hazards, confirming that the area was safe.

A post-mortem examination has been performed on both deceased individuals, and the investigation is currently ongoing. Investigators maintain that there is no threat to public safety.
