An Oshawa man was taken into custody after allegedly exposing and touching himself in front of young girls in a public space in Whitby, Ont., earlier this month, according to Durham police.
Officers with the Durham Regional Police Service responded to a report of a sexual offense near Evergreen Drive and Canadian Oaks Drive just before 5 p. m. on April 5.
Police reported that a male suspect had shown himself to two girls and started masturbating openly.
The man left the area before the police could arrive, authorities said.

However, one of the girls managed to give officers a detailed description of both the man and his vehicle.
On April 19, police found the suspect and arrested him without any issues. He was later released on an undertaking, according to officials.

Authorities stated that 30-year-old Samad Abdul Ghaffar faces charges for committing an indecent act.
The investigation team believes there might be more victims and has shared Ghaffar’s photo hoping others will come forward with reports.
