Dog dead, one man in hospital after gunfire in Whitby Thursday morning

A canine is deceased and man is in hospital with gunshot wounds after photographs had been fired in Whitby Thursday morning.

Police had been referred to as to Mary Road and Pine Road at 7:20 a.m. Thursday for sounds of gunshots. Officers arrived on scene and positioned a canine that had been shot and tsook one man into custody. The canine was transported to an emergency veterinary clinic, the place he died from his accidents.

Police later discovered a person confirmed up at a Toronto hospital with gunshot wounds. He was transferred to a trauma centre with non-life-threatening accidents. Police are nonetheless determing if there was a connection between the canine and man ewho was shot.

No different particulars had been launched.
