A 24-year-old man has died following a brawl in a parking lot in Whitby on Saturday night, according to police.
Authorities responded to a parking lot near Colborne Street East and Green Street around 11:55 p. m., as stated by Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) in their news release.
They found a man who had been assaulted at the scene and he was transported to the hospital, police said.
Thomas Holm, 24, from Whitby, later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Authorities reported that a 28-year-old man from Ajax was arrested and charged with manslaughter related to this incident. He is currently held for a bail hearing, according to DRPS.
