Waterloo Area, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Service has accomplished an investigation into suspicious drone exercise that was reported in North Dumfries Township final month.
On August 23, 2024, police responded to a report of a drone flying over residences within the space of Stanley Road and Most important Road in Ayr. It was alleged that the drone was dropping an unknown substance on to residential properties.
An investigation was accomplished with the help of the College of Guelph. It has since been decided that the substance was feces from a heron and no legal exercise had occurred.

Waterloo Area, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating harassment and mischief involving a drone in North Dumfries Township.
On August 23, 2024, Waterloo Regional Police started an investigation after receiving a number of reviews of a drone participating in harassing behaviour and inflicting property injury within the space of Stanley Road and Most important Road in Ayr.
On a number of events, a drone, believed to be a first-person view (FPV) drone, has been operated between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., flying over residential properties and dropping an unknown substance onto homes, autos, and property.
Investigators are asking anybody with info or who might have witnessed the drone flying or anybody working a drone within the space to contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 2299.
