Waterloo Regional Police investigating sudden death of 2-year-old boy

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the demise of a toddler in Cambridge.

The 2-year-old was reported lacking to police round 6 a.m. Monday from the Beverly Road and Dundas Road North space.

When officers arrived, they discovered the kid unresponsive.

“Life saving measures were provided and the child transported to a local hospital,” police defined in a media launch. “Unfortunately, the child was later pronounced deceased.”

Authorities confirmed with Ontario Chronicle the boy was discovered “in and across the space of the water” on the close by Soper Park.

Police, in an electronic mail to Ontario Chronicle, stated: “We will say that quite a few components, together with environmental situations and time of day, could have contributed to what occurred.”

“Police everywhere, every entrance and exit,” stated Richard Boer, who was strolling his canine by the world Monday morning. “It’s a nice, quiet, peaceful park. I wouldn’t even think this park would be danger.”

The reason for the two-year-old’s demise has not been launched.

“Pray for those people,” urged Verissimo Santos, who was additionally in Soper Park Monday morning.

Police stated there isn’t any concern for public security.
