How to mark Remembrance Day in Waterloo region, Guelph and Wellington County

Remembrance Day is on Monday and there are a selection of ceremonies occurring across the space.

All of the companies are open to the general public. 

There can even be some enterprise and workplace closures or adjustments to hours to mark the day. These are listed under.

Cambridge

There are three occasions in Cambridge:

Galt: The parade will start at 9:45 a.m. on the Galt Legion, journey down Water Road to Important Road bridge, then to the cenotaph.  Preston: The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. on the Preston Legion on Margaret Road, journey down Westminister Drive, King Road and Argyle Road to the cenotaph. Hespeler: The ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m. on the cenotaph on the nook of Queen Road E. and Tannery St.

Kitchener

In Kitchener, the Royal Canadian Legion Fred Gies Department 50 will maintain its annual Remembrance Day ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m. The studying of the fallen begins at 10 a.m.

The parade will begin from Ontario Road and proceed alongside King Road and Frederick Road to the cenotaph on Duke Road. The service on the cenotaph begins at 10:45 a.m.

Waterloo

New Hamburg

The parade will start close to the bridge and cross by the New Hamburg cenotaph, the place there shall be a brief wreath-laying service at 10:15 a.m.

Guelph

Guelph:

All Guelph Public Library areas are closed. Sleeman Centre (after the service) and River Run Centre are closed. All recreation and group centres are open. McCrae Home is open. Public waste drop-off is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
