Alzheimer Society of Waterloo-Wellington receiving $99K in provincial funding

PERTH-WELLINGTON – At this time, Matthew Rae, MPP for Perth-Wellington introduced that the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo-Wellington can be receiving $99,900 in funding to assist the dementia care, assist, and companies they want. This funding will assist companies delivered by the Alzheimer Society of Ontario’s group based mostly First Hyperlink® Care Navigation program that connects individuals dwelling with dementia, and their households, with assist navigating care, schooling, and sources.

“Our seniors built our communities, and now in their golden years, our provincial government will be there to support them,” MPP Rae stated. “These investments will significantly improve the ability to connect those diagnosed with dementia to the resources and care they need locally.”

This funding is a part of the Ontario authorities’s $6.9 million funding over two years to assist those that have acquired a dementia analysis on their care journey. Funding will present the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo-Wellington with the flexibility to offer assist for brand new shoppers within the space and rent further workers members to cut back wait instances for current sufferers.

“Our government is taking bold and innovative action to connect people, at every stage of life, to the care and services they need, when they need them, said Sylvia Jones, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health. “Investing in increased access to dementia care through investing in this high-quality community-based program will allow more families to connect their loved ones to additional services they need in their community.”

By means of Your Well being: A Plan for Linked and Handy Care, the province is taking motion to offer extra individuals with the proper care, in the proper place.
