This year marks two decades since we started celebrating Memories of Summer; it draws thousands who visit South Georgian Bay from all over Ontario and Canada. Last year saw Canadian legend Tom Cochrane headline while rock icons April Wine played for an audience reaching up to 12,000 in previous years.

Memories of Summer offers a unique experience that’s hard to find anywhere else globally. It happens under a starry sky on the longest freshwater beach around and general admission is completely free.

Quick facts:

Wasaga Beach holds the title for being the longest freshwater beach worldwide. It’s regularly listed among Canada’s top ten beaches. Every year almost two million people visit our iconic beachfront community in Ontario to enjoy local shops and vibrant events along with our stunning sandy beaches that stretch over 14 kilometers. To mark this final long weekend before fall sets in each year over 12,000 attendees come together at our renowned Beach Area 1 for this cherished concert series. Past performances have included thrilling acts by artists like Tom Cochrane and April Wine among others. Following these concerts comes an impressive fireworks show that’s always free for guests. The lineup for live music during summers here is something special compared to other festivals throughout Ontario – it unfolds beneath twinkling stars right on those sandy shores where so many memories are made each year. In total during 2025 alone more than thirty concerts and outdoor performances were organized alongside spectacular firework displays. Throughout every season we host various events including upcoming ones like The Blues Festival in July as well as Hootenanny Fall Festival later down-line along with exciting Christmas Markets!
