Wasaga Beach tourism sees surge with plenty of summer left to go

The City of Wasaga Seaside is experiencing a tourism growth, with customer numbers up 20 per cent from pre-pandemic ranges—the very best in a few decade.


The beachfront city was bustling with households absorbing the solar forward of the weekend. Many wrapped their Friday with a candy deal with from Mr. Norm’s Nephew ice cream parlour.


“On any given form of sunny day like right this moment, [we serve] wherever from a thousand to 1,200 ice lotions,” mentioned proprietor Paul Vaccari.


The surge in prospects has allowed Vaccari to develop his enterprise past the ice cream parlour. Proper subsequent door is his new seashore restoration retailer, which opened this previous March.

The City hopes to capitalize on the tourism increase.
