Fortunate dates and ages on a Lotto Max ticket gained a Wasaga Seashore man practically $70,000.
George Mavrogiannis, a retired restaurateur, says he has been enjoying the lottery for about 30 years and has performed Lotto Max since its inception in 2009.
“It was shortly after midnight when I checked the winning numbers on the OLG app,” stated Mavrogiannis whereas visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to assert his winnings of $68,659.
“I was looking back and forth from the phone to my ticket. I knew the numbers I played and couldn’t believe what I was seeing.”
Mavrogiannis woke his spouse to inform her the excellent news.
“At first, she thought something was wrong, but once I told her the good news, she was shocked. It definitely woke her up,” he stated.
“Winning is almost euphoric! Honestly, I think I’m still processing it,” George stated.
Together with his July 12 windfall, George plans to embark on a cruise and improve automobiles.
The successful ticket was bought on the West River Comfort on River Street in Wasaga Seashore.
