Many attendees eagerly waited to snap photos, get autographs, and meet their idols. Vaughan boasts a vibrant Italian community, which was evident when Italy triumphed at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and again at the 2020 UEFA European Championship. Later that day, these Italian legends took on a team of Canadian legends in an exhibition match held at the Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre, home to the Ontario Soccer Association. Baggio didn’t play but enjoyed watching from the sidelines as a spectator.
