An individual is in custody after a child was present in misery at a Vaughan house Thursday and later died in hospital, police say.

York Regional Police are investigating after a child died in Vaughan Thursday. Police say they discovered the child in misery at a house. The kid was pronounced deceased in hospital. (CBC)

An individual is in custody after a child was present in misery at a Vaughan house Thursday and later died in hospital, police say.

York Regional Police stated they obtained a name about an injured particular person on Wade Gate, close to Dufferin and Centre streets, at about 6:10 p.m.

When police arrived, they discovered the child in misery. The kid was taken to a neighborhood hospital, the place they had been pronounced deceased.

No charges have been laid. The newborn’s age and {sex} haven’t been launched.

Police haven’t supplied additional particulars, saying they’re within the early levels of the investigation.

On Thursday night time, there was a police presence within the neighbourhood and officers had taped off the home as they investigated.
