One individual has been hospitalized after falling from a swing experience at Canada’s Wonderland Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the amusement park in Vaughan stated experience operators on the Swing of the Century reported a visitor damage shortly after 2:30 p.m.
“Park medical employees and EMS responded, and the visitor was taken to hospital,” the spokesperson stated in an e-mail to Ontario Chronicle Toronto.
“An incident investigation is underway. The security of our friends and associates is our high precedence.”
York Area paramedics instructed CP24 that an individual fell 30 to 40 ft from a experience and stated the person was taken to a trauma centre.
They didn’t say the extent of the individual’s accidents or present situation.
The circumstances that led to the autumn are unknown.
In keeping with Canada’s Wonderlands’ web site, the experience, which was beforehand known as Swing of Siam, was one of many 26 authentic rides when the park opened in 1981.
Canada’s Wonderland says the swing experience has free-hanging seats suspended from an elevated, rotating and slanting tower. It might probably take as much as 48 riders.
