A man aged 26 who was out on multiple release orders is now charged while a teenage boy just shy of driving age is being sought for the murder of an innocent father during a summer break-in near Kleinburg.

The York Regional Police report that two other men aged 43 and 25 along with two teenage boys are facing charges related to the robbery where Abdul Aleem Farooqi was shot dead on Aug.31 while his family was present at home.

“I’m incredibly disappointed that dangerous criminals are continuously released back into the community only to reoffend and re-victimize the public,” Chief Jim Mac Sween stated during a press conference Wednesday after announcing that Abuhmaid was out on four release orders at that time.

“What’s also extremely concerning is that a 16-year-old youth is wanted in connection with this incident. We’re seeing perpetrators getting younger as these crimes grow more severe.” The previously reported that Farooqi was asleep at his residence located near Andreeta Dr. and Barons St.-close to Hwy.427 and Major Mackenzie Dr. W.-when three individuals arrived in a Honda stolen from Toronto and forced their way inside through a back door just before 1 a. m.
